Is it possible to study in a different UC for a quarter while enrolled in a UC

If a student in enrolled say in UCSC, is it possible for the student to study one quarter in UCSB and then return to UCSC? Do UCs allow this?

Contact the Registrar at your college and ask.

I wouldn’t think it would work unless you are talking about summer sessions. You’d have to be admitted in order to enroll, or be at a school that has a reciprocity program (overseas).

@Andy280: Yes there is a program and it is called the Intercampus visitor program

If you are a UC undergraduate in good standing, you may attend another UC campus for a quarter or a semester if space is available.

Students choose to do this for a variety of reasons, from being able to take courses that aren’t offered at their campus to getting a taste of another campus before deciding whether to transfer there.

For information about the Intercampus Visitor Program at any UC campus, contact the campus Registrar’s Office:
