I apologize if this is a dumb question or if it’s been asked and answered but what’s the likelihood of switching majors? Is it possible to switch to anthropology to computer science & engineering?
How to Change Major into Computer Science and Engineering at UCI. Yes possible if you meet all the requirements, but not a guarantee that spots will be available.
Requirements Description:::
Cumulative UC GPA at UCI: 2.7 overall and 2.7 quarterly GPA in the quarter immediately preceding the change of major request.
Course grades:
Minimum 3.0 GPA in prerequisite courses:
Math 2A-B-D
Physics 7C-7D, 7LC-7LD
ICS 21-22 or CSE 31-32 or ICS 31-32 or CSE 41-42
I am going to add that actually enrolling in some (if not all) of those ICS/CSE classes unless you are already in a related major can be very difficult.
