i mean do they consider ACT?

Yes, it is possible to take the ACT and not the SAT and be admitted to MIT, Harvard, etc. (you should always check the relevant school’s website for their description of their requisite standardized tests).

An applicant to schools like those you’ve mentioned, however, must take at least two SATIIs whether they are only submitting the ACT or not (again, check the school’s website for the number and required subjects, if any, of SATIIs they require from each applicant).

Also, you should check the relevant school’s website to understand the school’s standardized tests submission requirements. For example, many schools require that all standardized test results from all sittings be submitted when applying. In other words, if you have taken the SAT and the ACT - whether once or more than once - applicants often are required to submit each and every result from all SATs and ACTs they have ever taken.

Your best bet is always to first check a school’s website - under admissions - to find its descriptions of its own standardized test and standardized test submission requirements as well as its other admissions criteria.

Good luck with your searching and applications.
