What if you don't like the Program after you began your first year? Can you transfer to a different BA/MD Program after your freshman year?

Has anyone on CC done this?

I doubt it. Some programs explicitly state that they will only take people entering the freshmen year of college, or that they accept no transfers.

nope, impossible.

just apply out of the program after four years if you don't like it. In terms of enjoying your ugrad experience, I am convinced you can enjoy yourself wherever you go as long as you have the right attitude.

well its not impossible, there're some programs (very few) that accept people into their ba(bs)/md track as sophomores... i know stonybrook is one, i don't know any others. i agree with son of liberty, and it'll also be difficult to transfer... plus there's no guarantee you'll like where you transfer, with the limited options.

The programs that accept people as sophomores usually are already students at that particular school, or a few specific schools. For example, I believe Rutgers has one such track to UMDNJ but you'd have to be a Rutgers sophomore, you can't just be a sophomore at any school.
