Is it possible to transfer to UCI with one missing class?

im a bme major and im missing one of the required classes on assist. i did finish all my chem, calc, DE and about to finish my linear algebra and physic: waves thermo and optics, i also took the additional course which is stats. my GPA when i applied was 3.496 but i did improve it to a 3.523 after winter quarter. i heard stories on college confidential that ppl got accepted with a bunch of missing pre reqs. feel free to share any stories or personal experience! i would love to hear some of your thoughts.

Which is the missing course? Some courses are “required for transfer”, but others are “necessary to graduate in two years” or “other major requirements” that are presumably not required to transfer.

Example listing for UCI BME: https://www.assist.org/transfer/report/23441517

im missing BME 60B or for IVC, ENGR20. its not offered at the two cc’s that i attend and its also pretty rare to get a hold of that class at any of cc’s around my area bc its not very high in demand. a student got accepted thru TAG last year as a BME major and he did not take a single coding class.

If it is not offered, then they may (probably will) allow for admission without it. Contact UCI directly to verify.

But note that your GPA is in the lower part of the admit range for UCI biomedical engineering, according to https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major .

my gpa is definitely in the lower part but i tagged and as long as its above 3.4, i should not worry too much right?

Edit: ik its late to submit a TAU but i did tell my academic counselor that im planning to take this class over summer bc the uci rep kept telling me to take it. now that i heard some ppl r getting admitted with a missing class. idk if i ask should them again but ill wait for my decision first
