UIC is the only place I know of that can transfer “most” courses, not every course.
But I’ve been to multiple doctors, it’s just humidity that causes my feet skin to tear apart, kind of like jock itch, I use almost every cream I can think of still no justice, even soaked my feet in vinegar but, I need to rest from time to time or else I will collapse and tire easily.
Can you post how long you can stand at one time? It seems that for nursing school, as well as many nursing jobs, you have to stand for many hours at a time.
Do you think you will be able to do that? Maybe you can if you get physical therapy?
If not, then you may want to use this holiday break to figure out a backup plan that does the following:
a) lets you take courses you want (including biochemistry and organic chemistry)
b) is in the health care field – or at least is in a “helping profession”, if that is important to you and
c) is something your physical health will let you do.
I could form a good essay but would need a deadline to finish it properly, like a week or two to have enough time to form the paragraphs and make sure the sentences are easy to understand and not out of order.
Went back to laying down again, not even 15 mins I sat down, I get this feeling of sharp pain on, my right side, feels like a blade is piercing me. I went to many hospitals and had x-rays and they found nothing.
I can bounce back and forth on organic and biochem while doing nursing.
I am not sure about this. Have you looked at the nursing curriculum? It is intensive and time consuming, between classes, labs, and clinicals. Adding additional classes on top of that seems risky. Like @MMRose said, I think you need to think hard about whether you want nursing, chemistry or something else.
I am sorry to hear this. Your health is very important. Perhaps you should delay schooling while you are figuring these problems out. Does your CC have a medical leave of absence option?
I can’t delay anything, once I start something, I have to finish it till the end. Just the AES I began in summer 21 and will finish it in summer 22 that’s how I am wired and made.
I will finish the BSN regardless of health issues.
My doc did say it was from heavy lifting, the spine might be twisted a bit, and that’s why the right side close to the ribs hurt.
Foot pain
a bit of back pain
sharp pains from time to time while sitting
and skin feet tearing apartment when in humid conditions.
Are you able to take two of the prerequisites (e.g. A&P1 and Biochem) in the spring and two in the summer or fall (A&P 2 and Microbiology?)
I still think you need to look at different nursing programs to apply to due to the competitive nature of admissions. You said UIC was the only place you know will transfer most courses. What other schools have you looked at? Are you in the Chicago area?
There are other public colleges in the state of Illinois.
Again, I will ask; Are you able to take two of the prerequisites (e.g. A&P1 and Biochem) in the spring and two in the summer or fall (A&P 2 and Microbiology?)
I could handle those courses at my CC 3 bios and micro bio and then orgo and biochem at uni, my advisor said doesn’t make sense to take orgo and bio chem at CC, Uni will look down upon it.
I’m glad you have a plan! However, I would be careful of doubling up two courses in the summer- that is a lot of information in a condensed time period. I also don’t see microbiology in your plan. According to UIC’s website, you need that completed before starting the nursing program.
