is it possible

I was wondering if it was possible to earn a CPA,CFA and MBA? Would it look more competitive?

I plan on majoring in business admin focusing on acct. as my undergrad. I hope to get an internship job during the school years. Once completed with my BS degree I will try and pass the CPA exam to start working a few years until I save enough to pay off the tuition. After, I will go for my MBA in finance and try to pass the CFA level 1 exam. That being said, would it all be doable?

I hope so, because I’m in the middle of doing it. CPA, check, CFA level 1 check, MBA in a few years.

Nice, did you double major to be able to do both the CPA and CFA?

Yes it is possible, but it will take you from 8-10 years including college.

Why bother with them both? I would go with the CPA and a MBA in finance.

I double majored, but you certainly don’t have to. Make sure you are ready to sacrifice a lot to pass the CFA though and i mean A LOT.

can you clarify that? what am i exactly sacrificing?

Your friggin life.

Competitive for what? Those three degrees/titles serve completely different purposes. If you want to be an accountant and you are not interested in investment, there is no need for you to take your CFA. If you want to pursue a career in investment management and eventually a portfolio manager, a CPA is not necessary.
