Is it possible?

I am a international student (senior) who’s been accepted to Penn state this year. However, I am planning to return back to my home country. Due to uncertainty of going to my country’s university, my parents suggested me to defer my admission to next year, just in case of emergency. The problem is that I have to pay $330 and call the admission to defer my decision to next year but I do not want to do that.

I am 95 % likely going to go to college at my home country. But in case I don’t go there, is it possible to apply to Penn State again next year? So, the scenario would be, I would not pay for 330 this year, not attend my country’s college, so decide to apply to Penn state again. Is it possible?

Yes, you may apply to Penn State again next year. However, if you take any college courses in the meantime you would then be applying as a transfer student.

And you can’t apply to Penn State as a sophomore transfer. They only take freshmen and juniors at UP. So either defer your acceptance or wait and re apply next year without taking any classes. If you take classes past freshmen status, you will have to wait until junior year.
