Is it really true that June is the "easy" test??

I've heard this before and never really thought much about it. Is is true??

I'll let you answer that one.

?? (.................)

"?? (.................)"

After you take it let us know if it is easy. :p I don't think any tests are significantly easier than another but if the are easier the curve will be tougher so it all comes out even in the end.

I heard the May test was the easiest...so. I don't think there is any real validity to the statement. All tests are about the same

I've also heard that the may test was easy because alot of smart people are taking the AP tests so the curve will be easier but then I read somewhere on these forums that the curve is pre determined so I don't know what is true.

^^
That's what I heard also...
There are smart people who take it a certain date....

uhh.... i heard OCT was the easiest... since like no one takes it... with school startin and all....
may june should be the hardest, cuz thats wen EVERY1 takes them

i actually thought the april test was the hardest x_x i heard may was easier because everyone is taking satII's then. october could be hard (depends) because many seniors retake then.

LOL so many different responses what the heck is the truth?!

The truth is to study and be prepared no matter what. :D

I've heard that about the May SAT. but then again, I heard that about January and that one wssn't exactly a piece of cake!

i heard that each test gets progressively harder as the year goes on.. ie- october is easiest, june is hardest. but ive heard many people say May was harder than April (my friend went from 1980 --> 2100) so, i guess it depends on the knowledge you have. if you know the vocab, for example, you will think it is easy. if someone else does not, they won't think it is easy.

its all about what you are prepared for i suppose

Don't You mean april was harder than mAy?

"LOL so many different responses what the heck is the truth?!"

The truth is that ALL the tests end up being of the same final difficulty. It does not matter how many smart people take a specific test. The scoring and curve of the test are established prior to the test. You can take the test with 12 monkeys and it would not change YOUR final score.

It's different for every person. If you happen to know the vocab and the particular math knowledge involved in the problems, then yea it will be easier. If not, it will be harder.

Haha, the 'curve' is pre-determined, so it doesn't matter who takes the tests.

Are you guys sure the curve is predetermined? How do you predetermine a curve? What do they base it on?

if its "easier" its going to be "harder."

The easier the test is, the better kids do, the harsher the curve.

The harder the test is, the worse kids do, the better the curve. June 03 hopefully is harder.

I hate to say it because this debate is revisited after every admin of the SAT, but every test is the same in difficulty. The difference in "difficulty" is subjective anyway, what one person finds easy may be hard for someone else. Besides, the College Board spends millions and millions of dollars making sure that the SAT is truly standardized, because lord knows that if a one version of the test was found to be significantly easier there would be enough lawsuits to bankrupt a small country. If you did significantly better on one admin of the test than another, the chances are much greater that it's the result of some outside influence than the result of an "easier" test. Remember, correlation does not prove causation.
