Maybe I stress out too much, but if I attended NEU, I'd be close to $116,000 in debt upon graduation. Is it worth it? I'm really taken by the co-op program and yes, perhaps I could make the money back... but $116,000. That's a lot. That's like a house.

Intended Major: Journalism.

Maybe this is a dumb question. $116,000 is pretty ridiculous.

Yes, its expensive but the cost is basically the same as most private schools. Personally, I blame rankings for driving up the cost of higher education in America, but that's a story for another day. Anyway, don't forget about CO-OP EARNINGS.The average NEU student will earn between $50-55k over the course of 3 co-ops. This money can be used to defray tuition costs. The people who are on scholarship make out like bandits because they get to keep all their earnings. I had a classmate who used his co-op earnings to buy a small condo near campus which he lived in until he graduated. When he sold it had increased in value by about 40%. Quite a nice graduation present I would say.

Nope, I think that the highest paid major is Chem Engineering followed by Computer Science and then Pharmacy. I should also through finance into the mix of well paid majors.
