I have been accepted to NEU and I think that its my top choice. However, it costs about 15k more than rutgers and rowan. I am a chemical engineer major and while money is not the biggest concern, it certainly is a factor. Is northeastern worth it?

We have discussed this question SEVERAL times. Please look at past posts.

if you want co-op yes, if not then go to the others schools. NEU pretty much only has co-op to offer. Why pay close to 50k a year when you can go to those others schools and get the same degree and pay 15k less a year

NEU only has co-op? You clearly don’t know Northeastern then, especially not the engineering program.

^^ I understand it well enough to know that I do not want to continue my education here… Just not for me. What really grinds my gears is if you would like to change your major, they make it next to impossible to do so. And if you are able to change it, then you fall a semester behind.

Athletics are decent, but besides hockey there is not much.
Not a real sense of school pride or unity either.
Academics are up there, but still have a ways to go.
And co-op is a great program, but not for someone like me, who seeks a more liberal education.

A degree is a degree by the way. No matter where you go, you will most likely find a job.

Also, NEU Engineering is 61 in the nation according to this link, and Rutgers is 49:

Well for people who know what major they want (or came with AP credit), like the idea of co-op, and gets into a good program (because there are plenty here), Northeastern is a great school.
