I'm currently a junior and I took the SAT in March. I know that most people take the SAT again in fall of their senior year, but I kind of just want to be done with the SATs. I don't know if not taking it again the fall will ruin my chances of getting a better score. I also have AP testing in May and SAT Subject Tests in June, so if I'm going to take the SAT again this year, it would have to be in May. It's going to be a lot of pressure if I decide to take it in May, but I also don't want to wait until fall and have to study over the summer when I could be preparing for college applications and finding colleges, knowing what my best score is. What should I do? Take it in May or in the fall?

Thanks1

You could take it both in May and in the fall of your senior year if you’re not satisfied with your scores. I say take it in May so you still have an opportunity to improve. When senior year comes around, your time will be consumed by college apps.

Yeah taking it in the fall is fine. just dont take it more than three times, counselors at my school say that is bad.

Skip the one in May and focus on the AP and subject tests. There is no point to take the SAT again without thorough preparation if you need an improved score. If you cramp all tests within a month, your scores will suffer in all tests.
On the other hand, your original thought of having all the test done by June is good. I have the same plan for my daughter. In order to achieve that, she took her first SAT in December and retook in March. So she will have April and May for AP and subject test preparations. As time cannot go back, retaking SAT in Fall would be the best option for you.
