Is it too late?

I just graduated high school and i'm just realizing that i want to become a pediatrician. is it too late? what should i do? any advice please.

Of course not.

Go to college, take pre-med courses, volunteer, shadow physicians, be involved on campus, take part in research, take the MCAT and apply...Get into med school, pass your classes, pass the USMLE, do well in clinical rotations and apply for pediatric residency programs...complete peds residency, be pediatrician...

wow..... (10char)

It is not too late by any means. In fact, you're much earlier than many...

haha, i love BRM's answer.

umm..what exactly is shadowing a physician?

Basically you're becoming a physician's shadow, staying by his side wherever he goes.

Yup, basically following him/her wherever they go and see what they do.

^More often, wherever the physician lets you follow him.
