Is it true that finanicial hardship of a student lowers his/her chance of admission?

I dont think so... Im pretty sure SC meets 100% demonstrated need so it shouldnt make a difference... anybody else heard of this?

Financial status is irrelevant when it comes to admission and yes, USC meets 100%.

At many other schools, yes. USC, at least officially, maintains a "need-blind" admission standard, meaning the financial aid information you submit is handled completely separately and by a different office and has no bearing on one's admission.
