^I went to Auburn and I’m beginning my second masters degree at Harvard. My first masters is from Vanderbilt. Auburn obviously served me very well.
I understand you’re a senior in high school and have a lot of growing up to do so I won’t take it personally that you chose to take a shot at my alma mater. I’m proud of my Auburn degree, it is one of the top 100 schools in the country and I graduated with honors. I also had an extremely good time and never worried about what students at other schools thought of me or the rest of the student body. I guess maybe I was just a little more comfortable with who I was at 18 than you are.
You should go to BC, just so you can spend the next four years of your life being paranoid about what the kids on the other side of the river think of you.

SimpleJack: Please don’t attend BC. I’m excited to leave high school to get away from people like you, don’t follow me here!

seriously…don’t.

I’m sorry if this is mean… but I’m looking down on you right now, and I’m still in high school, so God knows what Harvard students will feel about you.

Good luck with the paranoia.

^Jenx, who do you mean by “you”? BC students, ron? We have so many paranoid people here at CC (myself among them) that it’s difficult to keep track.

I’m looking down on SimpleJack after he took a shot at Auburn.

(My mistake, I thought he started this thread.)

Quote: “In my case, I don’t expect to ‘accomplish’ anything other than surviving the nine to five until I am too old to work. In my future career path, I can’t think of anything significant to accomplish for people like me who aren’t brilliant.”

ron: As a parent of a college freshman, I find this comment quite sad. You have your whole life ahead of you; so many doors to open and options to explore. Regardless of WHERE you go to school, is that really how you want to spend the next 40 years, surviving the 9-5? You don’t have to be “brilliant” or attend Harvard or MIT to live a happy and fulfilling life, but you need to be true to yourself. Stop worrying about what other people think and look inward. What are you passionate about? What makes you happy? Use that as a starting point, then decide which university’s program can get you there.

Didn’t mean for eveyone to get all bunged up here. Look im sorry i took the persons comment at face value and was ridiculed for not catching it. Look if people want to play sarcasm here i might as well join. Jenx1234 and imac15 who the hell do you guys think you are. I dont owe you anything so cry me a river. LOL please, trying to tell me where I can and can’t apply for school? HILARIOUS!

AUTiger i apologize for my comment should’ve been directed towards reddune.
Reddune: a simple “i think he was being sarcastic” would have sufficed.

Im sticking up for myself and my intial comment so BACK OFF!

. . . what on earth are you talking about?

are you under the impression that i think you owe me something?

well, uh… good luck with that.

jenx1234…Well judging by your response “I’m looking down on SimpleJack after he took a shot at Auburn” it seems as though you are trying to solicit a response from me, hence, “owing you something”. Perhaps some sort of reasoning or apology of why I talked in a certain tone? other wise you would’ve let the thread simply fade away. I don’t need luck because i just answered your “what on earth are you talking about” question.
