everything is on a curve, i was told that in UCB, because of teh curve, most ppl are in the average range, few ppl with very high grades and few ppl with very low grades. I was also told because of the curve alot of people do not associate with each other in fear that they will ruin the curve for them. Is this true? If it is I don't think i'll go there then.

UH, no. Many classes are not on curves.

For those classes that are on curves, different classes have different breakdowns. Some have few with really high grades and few with really low grades. Others differ. Some people decide to not associate because of the curve, others study in groups and help each other out. This is true especially of large groups of eecs students I've heard about.

Not everything on campus is on a curve. More often than not, if a class is on a curve, it's within the sciences, engineering, or mathematics than in the humanties, and sometimes in the social sciences. If you work hard and do fairly well on the tests, you will be fine.

I hope you're not an engineering major.

I'm gonna major in sciecen

For the premed classes, there pretty much is no curve even though a majority of students do poorly.

Not sure if that's true at Berkeley. I think it is in chemistry, but not sure about bio, and math is curved, and physics is as well (as far as I know).

OChem (Chem3AB/112AB) is definitely curved.
