acceptance letter from USC is THICK cause it includes a package of what nots and a rejection letter is simply a thin letter saying how regretful they are?

Yes, My son applied to 2 majors both in Cinema - TV. He was rejected from his first choice, accepted to his second. Thankfully, both the thin letter and the Thick priority packet came at once to dull the pain. The Acceptance packet was send out the day after the rejection but since it was priority they arrived at the same time.

so I shoud pray that I get something thick from USC sometimes next week eh?

YOu had better. Too often, I've seen those thin letters.

But, ooh, it's always such a pleasant surprise to receive the fat one. Some schools Fedex or UPS admission decisions. On three occasions, the biker has come with his express mail to my door. I really love surprises. But remember, they could be good or bad.

USC's is the thickest of the ones that I have received.

ITs thick and has a giant "You're In".. so youll definately know before openong it

My son's acceptance letter to USC was thick. The acceptance letter from the Critical Studies program was thin.

TSDad - Any info on how many kids are invited into Critical Studies? I think I have heard on the tour last spring that it 48 production, 48 director, 24 screenwriting but I am not sure if I heard correctly.

"ITs thick and has a giant "You're In".. so youll definately know before openong it"

whoa..

Mine didn't say "You're In" on the package...but I pretty much figured it because I know that a school wouldn't spend $3.95 for shipping and send it priority mail for a rejection :p

Mine did not say "You're in" either. It was just a normal envelope and you could sense that it was, say, about 1 cm think (maybe less).

Ebay:

Sorry I don't know. You meant critical studies not "director," right?

Yes. I did mean Critical Studies. I was just wondering how many are in that program. Screenwriting was his first choice, but he was deferred into Critical Studies.

Yep, it's thick, I would say it was pretty close to a centimeter thick, unless it was a bit flattened like mine.
