I got USC's acceptance in the mail and I was amazed! All my other acceptances came in a big envelope with 1 page or a small envelope. I know it sounds stupid, but it feels really cool to get a full envelope with more information than I ever could've imagined (and a certificate!!).

Hey from the post mark date, to when you got it, how many days did it take the acceptance packet to get to you? I called the admissions office friday, and they said they sent out the decission and i should be getting it sometime next week? So i'm wondering if all are sent at the same speed or what (im guessing the packets take longer cause they dont wanna spend so much on priority shipping??). thx all

from looking at old threads, it looks like some people on the east coast received it two days after the post mark date (while those who received it the next day were all from CA)

The packet was beautiful...it was 6.75 just to ship it here....but we should remember some ppl on this board won't be getting it...so I dont know if having a topic like this is so good.

Yep, it's a big red folder with the logo on the front, saying Welcome to the Trojan Family, and inside there's the certificate of admission, and all the other little things such as housing survey, the booklets, etc.

Crimson/gold-- "Welcome to the Trojan Family"-- half an inch thick with the booklets/certificate. It felt really good to get it.

The coolest part though-- the envelope it came in. It wasn't rush-mailed, so it wasn't in a blue and white American postal service envelope. It was in a USC envelope (manila-folder size). I literally FREAKED OUT when I saw it in the mail, under a bunch of junk mail. I saw the head of the Trojan in yellow print on the cover of a thick white envelope, and I thought immediately that it must be just a viewbook, because I'm too stupid to get in.

When I ripped the envelope open and saw the actual folder-- well, that's when I REALLY freaked out.

Especially because I never thought I would get in.
