Is it true that if you get B's in high school, you're never going to get into an Ivy?

For example, say you got a few C+'s your freshman year but ended up with year-end B's. And for the next few years, you got A's and B+s. Would that be enough to get into an Ivy? Or even like a little Ivy (ex. Tufts, Bowdoin, etc.)? Or is it enough for just regular Div I colleges?

(I'm talking about these grades in all Honors / AP classes)

I’m in the same boat, man. Except I got a 1.0 in 8th grade Spanish that is still on my transcript… I didn’t try at all, I had no idea it would be on my transcript…

I wouldn’t say it is impossible, I guess it just means you really have to amp up the extra curriculars, essays and test scores.

There are so many other factors that go into being accepted, that a few Bs, especially in 9th grade, won’t hurt you that much. It also depends on what school you go to and what class it was in, for instance a B at Andover in AP Calc BC is obviousally different than a B at a huge public school in a non ap class.
