<p>My counselor told me that some schools require the CSS profile even though I am not applying for financial aid. Unfortunately, I can not find any information regarding this on the school webpages, and emails have been unanswered.</p>
<p>I don't think that you have to file a css profile if you aren't applying for financial aid.</p>
<p>You should file the FAFSA whether or not you are asking for finanical aid because at some schools the FAFSA is required fro merit money. Also at some colleges if you don't apply for aid (even if they turn you down) during your freshman year, they may not allow you to apply subsequent years.</p>
