Is it unusual to submit ACT and SAT II subject scores but not SAT I?

I am just curious because I did not do as well on the SAT I, but I did significantly better on the ACT and SAT II. I heard that if you do the ACT, it covers for your SAT II requirements too? I’m not sure, but I am aiming for colleges like UCLA and UC Berkeley.

check with the college on whether it requires SAT II if you submit ACT… I don’t think it is unusual as there are colleges that require SAT II even with ACT.

It took me 30 seconds to Google UCLA testing requirements. Double that to a minute and you can find out UCB as well.

For UCB and UCLA, only certain programs recommend subject tests and it is for students submitting either ACT or SAT1 score. OP can definitely submit ACT and SAT2 scores to any school. There are only a dozen or two schools that recommend subject tests even with ACT scores. There are some exceptions for home school students and specific programs in certain schools (NU integrated science is another example).
