Is it worth applying ED to Wharton for me?

Hello, I was wondering if ED would actually help my chances significantly, as I am completely unhooked. If I get in I will go no matter what.

Junior (will be going to senior year)
Indian American
150k income
Texas public and large high school

My stats:
Academics:
4.76/5 Weighted, 16/689 (Top 100 High School in Country)
4.0 UW
SAT: 1570 (790 Math, 780 Reading)
SAT Subject: 800 Math II, 740 USH, 780 Physics
PSAT: 1490, should be NMSF

Courses:
15 AP Courses throughout high school, most scores pending, should be all 5s
6 IB Courses, should graduate with diploma

I am planning on writing my activities section as the following:

  1. Policy Debate - team captain, nationally ranked top 10 since sophomore year
  2. Citizenship Committee Club - president (try to improve political engagement in school)
  3. HS Democrats of America - president of Austin Chapter (same thing basically, I write for the organization’s national magazine)
  4. Adbusters Magazine - regular contributor to published copies worldwide
  5. Economics Club - member - (prepare for national competition, our team was Texas state champion and 10th nationals)
  6. Economics Research - published 2 papers in national journals under guidance from Wake Forest professor
  7. Patent pending for personal invention
  8. Musical composition - state champion every year since freshman, 2nd nationally soph year
  9. Chess club at Elem school - founder, coach - state champions junior year
  10. Math Olympiad at elem school - founder, coach - 4th nationally junior year

Essays and rec letters should be fine/decent.

With that, I’m also wondering if I am “business-focused” enough, as many of my extra curriculars are not really business related. I will be picking the “public policy” concentration in the application, however. Also, should I just send Math II subject test or all three?

Thanks for taking the time!

Yes, but for anyone it’s an extreme reach also considering the fact that you’re a wealthy Indian.

@perspectivestude thanks for the input!

No problem. I am going through the same process as you right now and I find it helpful for others’ opinions too.

I think you definitely have a good chance. One piece of advice I have would be to focus on only a couple/few extracurriculars in your app. Depth > Breadth. Best of luck to you!!
