Is it worth applying to Berkeley?

I'm a white female from montgomery country public schools,

great extracurriculars- not out of the ordinary impressive, but pretty darn good (newspaper editor, math and writing tutor, varsity sport and a few other clubs)

IB Diploma Candidate

HS UW GPA- 3.88

2320 SAT 790Math 760CR 770Writing

5's on bc calc, us history, microm&macro,
4's on usgov't, english literature, european history

im taking mv calc(ill probably get a b 1st sem because i screwed up the first test on technicalities =[), physics, comp science A, history, eng, tok, spanish6

I started to fill out the app but even the way you enter your courses from out of state is so informal and kind of off-hand- i feel like its not even taken seriously. =[

Does anyone have any insight as to how I should fill out the app to help my chances or any insight regarding my chances in general?
its mech. engineering that i'd apply to

i would give it a shot, if that school really attract you. you don't want to regret and think damn, what if....

Your GPA and SATs are right in the upper half at Berkeley.

Berkeley is very driven by stats. However, you still need to present a nice essay. You are 50/50, so by all means work on presenting a good app.

They use "UC GPA" with is 10th/11th grade academic only courses, with +1 point AP credit given for a max of eight semester grades -- this yield a max UC GPA of 4.4 if you're taking 5 academics.

They also require two SAT IIs.
