Does my major play a role in my possible acceptance/rejection?

Anyone? Please?

As much a chance as anyone, as far as I can tell.

Sorry, that wasn’t very insightful.

You’re a strong applicant, for sure, but as jason noted, so are most.

I would offer two specifics that I find promising in your data: Service hours—Brown is devoted to service, and you have an good number of hours—and SAT II’s. Your scores are solid for those, and admissions officers are pretty much in agreement that they most accurately predict success in college.

That being said, your SAT I is fairly low, which may put a thorn in the side of your application. I think that with great essays, though, you have a very good chance.

Also, what would be your intended concentration?

I’m hoping to major in neuroscience.

I don’t know why your SAT would be considered “low”. That is stupid because you are right in brown’s range. You look like an excellent applicant. Keep up the good work, and definitely apply.
