Is it worth going for a college that is higher ranking or one you like better?

I'm applying to a number of engineering schools this january, and I have a lot of good schools I'm applying to, but all of them are so techi and nerdy, and that's just not my thing. The school I am applying to that I just love is Tufts, and if I get accepted (which I really hope I do!), I'm not sure if I should go there or to a higher ranking and more well-known engineering school? As of now I'm thinking of ME, and if not that then CE or EE as majors in the future. Any thought on what is more important, or anything about Tufts engineering in general?

Go where there’s a fit. Tuft’s not exactly a bad school.

However, I think you’re putting the cart before the horse. You don’t even know if you will even get to make this choice.

Why don’t you apply to more schools that are a fit for you?

@PurpleTitan had his tongue in his cheek. Tufts is a very good school, among the best in the nation. How you do in school is often a matter of how happy you are there. It’s hard to say much more since you haven’t given us the other schools with which to compare Tufts engineering.
