Is it worth it?

<p>I've been accepted as a transfer to a school that is apparently in a completely different league then the one I am currently in. The problem is, I've grown to like it here very much. I play football and am in ROTC and have made very close friends in both programs. The academics may not be the best in the country, but I've been very successful here and there are a lot of academic and internship opportunities despite the slight weakness of the school. I was not in the honors program this year but was accepted during this semester and I will be participating in it if I'm still here next year. </p>

<p>This basically is addressed to students in the past who have transferred. Has it been worth it? Uprooting myself and starting all over again seems daunting and perhaps not really worth it. </p>

<p>My current school is Catholic University. I've been accepted to William and Mary and I'm waiting on a few others. </p>

<p>I’m a tentative transfer and I enjoy my current university but I think there’s a better fit. You sound really hesitant to transfer… is there a reason, after college, that you would need top notch academics? You sound like you have a lot going for you and don’t especially want to leave. Are your current academics really bad? If you don’t want to go, don’t. Unless you have a reason to move to the higher “league”, I don’t see a reason you need to.</p>
