Is it worth it?

I was admitted into NYU ED1, but recently I just found out that my parents aren't going to help pay for college at all.
NYU awarded me 33.5k in scholarship, but i'm not sure if it's worth it to still go to NYU for undergrad starting in the LSP program (liberal studies, I'd spend freshman year in Florence, Italy) and try to pay off the remainder 31k per year + interest. Part of that 33.5k is from FAFSA with an estimated $5645.50.
They also estimate that i'll be eligible for a $9,500 Direct Stafford loan. I also am eligible for a 2,400 ED Perkins loan.
The other 25k would be through a PLUS loan for 20k, a small 2k unsub and 3.5 k subsidized loan.
I'd graduate with an associates degree in liberal studies and then a batchelor's in whatever major I end up choosing (i'm allowed to transfer into any school except Stern my Junior year). Help. I'm allowed to back out if I can't pay financially, so should I stay or should I go to a different school. NYU was my dream school and probably the best academically on my college list.

Only in special cases (not yours) is any school worth more than the standard $25K or so total federal student debt over all four years. If parents can and want to take on and pay off more, that’s fine, IMO.
