I’m Hispanic and I read, write, and speak Spanish very well. I’ve been considering pursuing Spanish as a major in college since I still have some trouble in Spanish and would like to perfect it. I also want to be a physical therapist so should I double major? Is it a good idea to keep pursuing Spanish?
Yes! My mom is from Cuba and studied Spanish. She loved the advanced classes and ended up majoring in psychology and wanted to be an occupational therapist, but ended up enjoying teaching Spanish and stuck with that.
Can’t give advice on double major. Can recommend that you at least take some classes

Fluency always help! Particularly if you’re in an area where a significant number of your patients as a physical therapist may be Spanish-speaking and therefore feel more comfortable working with you instead of someone who would only speak English with them. And if you’re interested in Spanish, go for it!
