so my school has this weird gpa system in which every point counts. i currently have a 96 in chemistry and i'm exempt from the final. however, if i take it and make a 100, i would end up with a 97 in that class, thus raising my gpa by a small decimal of a point. if i don't take it, i don't even have to go to school that day. is that 1 point worth the effort spent preparing for this thing?

what happens if you dont make that 100?
lets say you get a 95, will that bring your average down?

yes
which is why i'm not taking it

Not worth it.

Definitely not worth it.

yea its definitely not worth it. unless you know for sure that you will destroy the final. other than that, don't worry about it....

Good question... if that class is really easy and you would feel confident in getting a higher then a 96-97 then I would say go for it... On the other hand it is risky with odds against you and laziness prevails.
I'm not sure, if you mess up a little you'll still be towards the top of your class right? or even if you don't take it?
I not sure what I would do, I probably wouldn't take it but thats cause I hate chemistry and the Final would destroy me...

Colleges look at your transcript for a reason, they do their grades through their own GPA system. Definitely not worth it, especially if you get lower than a 96.

Heavens no! Sleep in and be proud of your awesome work. A 96 is amazing!

OP: If you're not taking it, why are you asking?

i wouldn't take it if it would hurt me, but at my school, if your exam can bring your grade down and you're exempt, it does not count

Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
