to take math and science at all senior year of high school? i found out today i will have to go to a different high school for 2 classes in the fall - AP calculus and AP physics. Blah should i just accept i can’t get any higher learning this year at my school? Would it matter on college apps for a future engineering major that i didn’t take math or science senior year.

i would definitely take the classes. Engineering colleges will not be pleased if you do not take math/science senior year. This has another advantage, too... you or your counselor can explain on your app that despite the lack of options at your hs, you went above an beyond to take courses at another hs. If I were an adcom, i'd be very impressed by that!

What if you definitely plan on focusing on something that doesn't remotely involve math or science? I have the same dilemma; I've struggled through math and science up to Junior year, and got good grades, but I hate it and I don't want to do it senior year. Are you really looked down on by admissions for playing to your strengths?
