If I were to take a gap year and retake the SAT during my gap year, will colleges care about it? or they do not care about it because it is an exam designed for high school students?
will you be reapplying for colleges?
One of my friends took the ACT again after her graduation because it gave her the opportunity to possibly pick up more merit money. If it makes sense for you, then go for it
@annamom yes
@TuyTuyTuy if a better ACT will help you to get into a certain college or scholarship, then why not take it?
I believe OP is an international student hoping for a full ride.
The SAT/ACT show college readiness, so I don’t think it matters if you take it after you graduate. Make sure you have a backup plan for college in your home country though.
While user is int’l, he resides in the US.
Check,the colleges for their policies. Some do not look at SAT or ACT scores taken after HS graduation.
Even though this kid resides in the U.S. he his applications will still be reviewed as an international.
@TuyTuyTuy if you take a gap year…will this affect your immigration visa status? In other words…will your visa permit that?
