I would love to attend JHU for undergrad but I heard that's it is very cutthroat and competitive for pre-med students. Professors won't write good rec's for their students unless they are at the top of their class to maintain JHU's reputation. Students will sabotage other students lab in order to look better. Is this all true? Is college gonna be ALL studying and books if I wanna study medicine @ JHU? Is it better to go to a highly ranked university like Emory or CMU where the atmosphere for pre-med is less competitve?

hey don't be discouraged by the myths of cutthroat. Just take a look at some of the hopkins blogs.
