Hey Swiss wouldn’t it be hilarious if there was 3 of us from the same school :p!

Yeah lol that would be Hilarious lol. So Blue did you get any Intl FA from Groton in the end ?

I dunno if they counted me as Intl but I got the FA i needed from Groton

Wow so you must have been like one of the Best applicants because they say that they only offer FA to intl students in extraordinary cases.

um…I don’t know. I got WLed elsewhere. They probably just counted me as an american. on my app I was listed as ‘domestic’

Well I guess we’ll knock Loomis Chaffee off the list. Too bad, sounds like a pretty nice place.

Swiss, we also have a highly rated public school in our town. Cant see going to boarding school, as great an experience it is, if there is little or no academic advantage. And having experienced FIVE widely different high schools as a teenager I can tell you consistency is a good thing! My advice is stay where you are, and reapply next year. Also, seriously consider repeating.

Now if anyone knows of a really great school that still has money lying around, well please pm me right away!

Yeah I got rejected by Loomis too, though I got in some schools that ranked way above it (with generous FA). I think Loomis didn’t like the fact that I asked for lots of FA.

@boarding school…
I feel the same way about Loomis, for my d it was her strong second choice and she was not selected. Though she was selected at places like DA and Exeter, etc.

We were in need of lot of FA

@Alexz825 Is your daughter going to attend Exeter?

To Swissbrit,

In response to your previous questions, Loomis Chaffee is a wonderful school and a great investment to your future! I am currently a Senior and I entered as a Freshman. I chose LC because of the strong bond between students/faculty. In and out of the classroom I learn so many lessons from my teachers, advisors, and coaches that I don’t believe I would have learned anywhere else. I feel completely prepared to head off to college and pursue my interests. In regards to the student life, it is not difficult. As a new student there is an orientation program before school begins, and then throughout the year there are programs that continue to help students acclimate to campus life. If you are interested in more information, our website, [Loomis Chaffee](http://www.loomischaffee.org), is a great resource.

thanks a lot lcstudent2010, I will most definitely be applying to LC next year and it looks like a wonderful school. Again thanks to everyone who replied.
