Hey guys,

Would really appreciate some current/former student input on this one.

Is there a lot of competition amongst students in the McIntire school? Is it cut-throat?

I've heard that Wharton is this way and I'm wondering if McIntire is the same.

I'm applying to both schools...so I'd like to know what I'm getting into! Can I handle the heat?!?

Thanks everyone.

In two words: Not really. There is a pretty big emphasis on teamwork and collaborative learning in the Comm School. You will have some students who are very competitive, but generally, I think it’s a less stressful atmosphere than Wharton.

the professors and the companies you work with are cut throat, not your peers. There is a strong solidarity among peers.

(some profs are nice, too. one prof I know regularly treated his class to dinner or something.)
