Is med school still possible?

I received the following grades my first semester at cornell. I know the C is horrible but is it still possible for me to be able to successfully apply to med schools in 4 years assuming I do much better? For the record my C had nothing to do with a lack of work but rather difficulty with the type of testing (true/false/don't know). I am prepared to work even harder in future semesters. My hope is to apply to NYS public medical schools.

Calculus 1120: A
Bio 1440: C+
Bio Statistics 3010: A
Writing Seminar: A-

Overall GPA: 3.571
Science GPA: 3.54

Thanks!

Edit: Also I would like to add that I do not think that this is a case of me being unable to understand biology. I did well in all my high school biology classes and received a 5 on the AP Biology exam with little effort. I will obviously reevaluate my biology ability in the future but I think that I am capable of doing better in additional bio classes.

Obviously you can’t keep getting C’s but the average GPA for those who successfully get into med school is 3.6-3.7 so you’re not too far off.
