I read on the Fairtest.org website that Middlebury College is test-optional on certain conditions i.e : IB & AP.
But in their admission college website, they do not mention that. Do we need to send standardized test to Middlebury
College for admission?
Fairtest describes Middlebury as “test flexible” not optional. That means SAT or ACT may not be required if you submit something else. In Middlebury’s case you have the option of submitting SAT, or ACT, or instead of either of those three SAT subject tests in different subjects, see http://www.middlebury.edu/admissions/start/requirements. Middclebury does not have the IB or AP exception, but understand Fairtest in its test felxible description is describing a category it applies to more than just one university and thus is not defining exactly what Middlebury does. NYU is also a test flexible college and for it you can submit SAT, ACT, three subject tests, three AP’s, an IB diploma, three IB test scores of no diploma, see http://www.nyu.edu/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/apply/freshmen-applicants/instructions/standardized-tests.html
Also understand that Fairtest categorizes schools based on information it generally has, is not an organization that updates regularly or necessarily confirms what it has on a regular basis and you must always check the actual college;s own rules to confirm its currect testing polices.
