Ok, last April I got
C:29
E:26
M:35
R:29
S:26
W:8 (25 for E+W)

And for June one, I got
C:29
E:26
M:36
R:21
S:33
W:7 (24 for E+W)

I never expected my reading score would come out THAT low... 8 lower than last time;;;;
Are the colleges gonna consider my 2nd reading score, even if they superscore it??
Or should I just abandon ACT now and stick with SAT for October..? I got 1990 (590, 770, 630) last time.. It's just so much depressing

I had the Same problem except my scores as a whole were lower:
M: 30
E: 26
S: 28
R: 21

I don’t know what I’m going to do. My SAT (1820 M 670 CR 560 W 590) scores I think are slightly better, but its obvious that something went terribly wrong on reading for both of us. I might retake, I might submit both, I might just submit SAT, or might Just submit ACT. Honestly I have no Idea, obviously something went terribly wrong with reading for both of us, right?

My daughter just received her June ACT scores and got a 21 on reading also which is surprising to us since she got 32’s on all three of the other sections (Math, Science, English). The first time she took the ACT (April?) she got a 30 on reading which is more in line with what we thought she should be getting on reading. It seems like a strange coincidence that we are all getting the same scores of 21 on the reading section of the test, but doing quite a bit better on the other sections of the test.

Thomas, What do you mean by “superscoring” the ACT? My daughter has taken the ACT twice. If she submits the scores for both test dates, do you think that colleges will take her three scores of 32 on the most recent test for Math, Science, English, and then take her score of 30 for Reading from the first test and combine them to get a Composite score? I am kinda hoping that colleges will look at the Reading score of 21 on the June test and think it is an outlier.

Some colleges say that they will take best scores out of each sections on their websites. However, I think they will also consider your daughter and my "21"s as well… I’m not sure though, and that’s the reason why I posted this wall :)
