<p>ALL these kids are “trophy hunting.” Look at the countless “chance me for Ivies and other top schools!” threads on this site. A lot of these kids are extremely immature (you would say “dumb”) and have not done the due diligence to come up with a reasonable list–they are simply hoping to get into a number of top-tier schools and then make their choice later. Not to mention, they apparently have money to burn. If it were my kid, I would not pay the application fee to so many schools.</p>
<p>I know 2 people with very similar grades/scores in a class of 27 at a small college prep school who got into many of the same top schools, including Brown. It really depends. While I can see why this may feel really annoying, just worry about you, and I’m sure it will all work out.</p>
