Is my GPA too low for IVY League schools?

The following is my Objective stats profile:

SAT 2250
SAT II: Math II (800), Physics (800)
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.90
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): school doesn’t show the rank, but it must be about top 8%
AP (place score in parenthesis): Jap (5), Mechanics (5), Calc AB(5), Caluc BC (5), E&M (5), Statistics (5), Chemistry (4), compsci(4)

Without taking my other factors such as ECs into consideration, does my GPA and class rank kill my chance for IVY League schools? Since my school sends only a few students to IVY League every year, my class rank and GPA seem too weak. Though in ECs, AP, and SATII I performed the best in my school and I have the most rigorous coursework in my school during my Senior year, I'm so worried about my shortcomings.

no

Ivies are a long shot for anyone, but your academics are certainly in range to try. There’s nothing to disqualify you in any way, a 4.0 is not a requirement. Plenty with better stats than yours will be rejected, and some with stats below you will get in.

Look at it this way, someone has to get in, might as well be you. And if you don’t qualify with academics that most kids would kill for, who does qualify? Most Nobel Prize winners and MacArthur Fellows already have degrees.

OK. I will enjoy the admission by considering it as lottery. I will apply to as many HYPSM and IVY League schools as possible and hope that one of them would accept me just by chance.

Good attitude!
