Is my rank "bad"?

Thanks Hmom!. This doesn't relate to me at all, but I've never understood that.

I wouldn't worry about ranks that much, many schools are starting to stop ranking students since they've seen a increase of acceptance doing such. Thing is a student can be ranked 19/500 and have a average GPA of a C+. Another student can be ranked 40/500 and average GPA of a A. What was this case? Student who had a C+ didn't have much competition in the school, vs. the one who was ranked 40. So your GPA may can tell more than a rank.

I would kill to have your rank.
3.6 UW GPA for me is only 124/436. x[
My friend has a 3.8 UW GPA and is only 86/436.
Stupid competitive public school.

Wow it's people like you that wield the title of "insecurity".

wow. ROWR. this is really getting to be a sassy feed.
But you know, I think that when you focus too much on your scores, you become a score, and isn't the admissions process all about NOT being one? just accept it! Hey, I was crying over myself not being in the top 1%, but to me, being in the top 5% is just fine and I think that you're fine. Shine in everything else in your app if you're not proud of your rank.

Sigh... guess it depends on the school eh?

A 3.6 GPA might put someone at top 3 percent with weighted rank in my school.
