Is my senior schedule too easy?

Is this schedule okay for colleges?

Beginning Chorus

I'm really concerned about beginning chorus but the only other class left for my last period is accounting and to tell the truth, I'm really bad at math. I was in accounting for one period and spoke with the accounting teacher and he highly discouraged me from taking accounting unless that's the career I want to be in (which it's not, I want to major in Advertising/Communication). The teacher stressed that the class is academically challenging and I'm not dedicated nor interested in accounting at all, but I'm afraid beginning chorus will look like I'm slacking. I just want to survive senior year. Take a class that I don't feel confident at all and get a C or low B, or take a class that I don't think will be that difficult but end up ruining my chances to a good college?

I'm aware there are other factors in admissions, but right now my biggest concern is my schedule. Does my schedule look waaay too easy or does it look good enough?

I've been crying and stressing over this issue because I'm not looking at an Ivy League school or anything, I just want to get into an acceptable, good university (University of Florida, FSU, University of Miami, etc.)

I've only taken the SAT once and my score was about 1640 (I'm planning to retake it next month, and most likely taking it in November just incase).

I spoke with my counselor and he of course stated the obvious, that if colleges looked at my schedule and one had accounting while the other had beginning chorus, they would look more favorably toward accounting. But at the same time he said it's up to me and that accounting really is a rigorous class. It's too rigorous for me but beginning chorus is too easy...
Please help. This is a plead because I have been truely worried over this.

I am taking Multimedia/Imaging because it corresponds with my intended major as well as Journalism (which may sound like an easy class but in reality it's challenging and fun). I am confident in my other classes but I know if I add accounting that will only build up my stress as well as my workload. My counselor and parents understand...but I know college admissions look differently at this situation.

Am I doomed to a community college?!

Please give honest (but not too harsh) serious replies. I really need some assurance or something on whether the choice I make tomorrow of switching out of accounting into beginning chorus is a good idea. I was only in accounting for one class day so it’s not a big deal in terms of me switching. It’s just the fact if I look like I have senioritis or not.

To tell the truth, I wanted to take beginning chorus because I love singing in the choir and did so in middle school but the high school I went to didn’t offer it, the one I am in now does. So I know I would enjoy chorus, it’s not just about it being an easy class. BUT WHAT WILL COLLEGES THINK ABOUT THIS?! Pursueing what I love vs. What others expect of me?

P.S.

Here’s my junior schedule if it helps:

AP English Literature
Video Communications I
AP US History
Spanish III / Pyschology (I had transfered to a new school but Spanish III was a lot different from my old school so I dropped it for Psychology 2nd semester)
Physics
P.E. / Health
Pre-Calculus

If all else fails I’ll go to the University of Maryland (I live overseas and the military base I am on has courses for this university). But I would like to know if my schedule will be seen as a disadvantage for other universities? I keep having bipolar feelings over this issue…

Does no one have any advice/tips?

I don’t think that the switch from accounting to chorus will have a major impact on your application if your GPA and AP scores have been good. I think at this point you should reduce your stress level by dropping accounting and focus on improving your SAT score. You also need to consider some schools that are less selective than Miami and UF. Good luck.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve been concerned about my SAT scores and want to improve, but have also been fretting over college applications and my chances of getting into a good university.

I will try looking into less selective colleges, although I feel the pressure to have to get accepted into the higher ones. Thank you again! Honestly, I really do appreciate the reply.

Do you only have 2 and a half years of a foreign language?
There is no point in taking accounting if you are not interested in it and you are not going to do well.

Yes, I only have 2.5 years of a foreign language (Spanish). I would have gone all the way to Spanish IV (my intended foreign language path) but Spanish III in my new school proved too difficult compared to the standards of Spanish III at my previous high school.
