Is National AP Scholar worth it before junior year?

I'll need to self study 4 AP classes to do so. I'm planning to self study AP Psycho, AP Human Geo, AP Environmental Science. Not sure what else.
What's another easy AP self study? AP Gov isn't an option since I'm doing that next year.

Bump-----…

AP Psycho? :D

AP Stats is said to be easy.

So, does that sound completely insane? Self studying AP Psycho (lol), AP Environ, AP Human Geo and AP Stats along with 4 other AP classes?

Starting it now for the 2013 tests could be. Starting it early for the 2014 tests would not be.
I don’t think you’d need to get the award before junior year as long as you had it to write on your college apps at the beginning of senior year? I’m not sure when they’re sent out. But it probably doesn’t matter much because colleges will see the AP test scores from junior year anyway.

Hmm. :frowning:
I already know I’m probably going to get National AP Scholar if I study enough, since I’m taking 6 AP classes my senior year.
Do you know when we are supposed to receive the awards? I’m not certain whether or not I would get the award in time for applications; definitely not for early action/decision.

How much time should I allow myself to study? I’ve already studied AP Psych extensively with the Barrons study guide, and I feel pretty confident in AP Econ and APLAC (classes that I’m taking in school).

As for APUSH…well, I don’t think I can ever feel ready for APUSH, but I feel that I’ve done what I can.

Additionally, what study guides would you recommend for the AP tests that I’ve already listed, including AP Stats? Sorry for all the questions.
