Is no AP sciences a red flag at Wharton?

I hate science and I will have taken 3 yrs of it (none of them will be APs) and I would really rather not take it next year.

By the end of my senior yr i will have 9 (maybe 10 APs):

AP Euro

AP US
AP Calc AB
AP Comp

AP Gov/Econ
AP Stats
AP Lit
AP Comp Science
AP Psychology
(maybe AP Calc BC…still deciding)

although i have heard that science is not a huge priority at Penn, is having no AP sciences a huge problem (our school does offer AP Bio, Chem, & Physics)

thanks!

oh and is calc BC a must or is ab acceptable?

In high school, I hated science just like you and never took an AP class in science. Plus, I only took up to AB Calc...I was accepted into wharton so dont worry.

however, i did take another 12 AP classes.

Bern, you replied to my other post about the fill-in-the-blanks about college life as well. Would you be willing to comment on my stats? I know Penn would be a reach but is it such a big reach that I would be wasting my early app?

My stats are on this link:

If you have time, you can reply to this post or that one. I'd like to hear a Penn student's input (I'm still a Jr so any way to improve chances there would be great too)

I would definitely apply...everything looks really good except for the GPA freshman year (however, the upward trend is really good). Personally I think you have a decent shot if you get those test scores and keep your GPA up. You're in the top 5%, will have great test scores, very diverse ECs (I especially like the novel you're writing). Your ECs are really diverse which is good. Some things to work on: 1. keep grade trend up 2. work on getting leadership positions.

good luck

hmm, i didn't know that wharton was so big on the sciences...thought it was just a math thing :-</p>

is AP calc a must for wharton or is taking honors calculus acceptable?

slicmlic2001 they definitely are much bigger on math, i was just wondering if having no ap sciences would be a problem
