I want to get a football scholarship for northwestern so I was wondering if northwestern good for football

Not sure what you mean. NU’s football team is certainly not among the stronger ones in the Big 10 conference, largely because NU is the small, brainy school in that group.
If you want the best education, good school spirit, and a location at Chicago’s doorstep, NU is great. If you want the best football team, go elsewhere.

Regardless of the fact that they aren’t the best team, they still have a very strong program and the Big 10 is a major division 1 conference. You need to be quite good to be recruited by Northwestern. If you are good enough to play at this level then you should be in contact with the coaches, if you’re not already.

To the OP - if you want a football scholarship the first thing you should do is to speak to your high school coach and see if it is realistic. Needless to say, as a Big 10 school, Northwestern is extremely hard to get a scholarship to, and additionally, as one of the most academically rigorous D1 schools, attracts a lot of good players who are also extremely strong academically.

I think NU has more grads hosting late night talk shows than active players in the NFL…
Per Seth Myers “You don’t go to NU because it’s a football factory”.
