Is Penn CAS easier to get into than Wharton?

So I've heard mixed answers to this and would like some clarity...

Of course CAS is "easier" statistically, but as someone like me whose entire app. is centered around business and I have tons of business EC's, would CAS really be easier?

The penn website claims that the schools are all equally hard to get into; however, each school just looks for different things.

So by that logic, would I really have better a chance at Wharton even if my stats are already on the way lower side? I find that hard to swallow. [33 ACT & 3.7 UW (3.85 UW without freshman year)]. Where do you think my better chances stand?

I am obviously not expecting to get in by any stretch of the imagination, but my other top choice school is only EA so I will be applying to penn ED because I have nothing to lose... not sure if that changes anything statistically as well.

Thanks :)

If your app is really completely business-centric, you will almost certainly be rejected unless you apply to Wharton. The adcoms weren’t born yesterday. They can tell pretty easily if you are trying to use CAS as a backdoor into Wharton, and they obviously don’t take too kindly to shifty things like that.

@kbolisetty23 that’s exactly what I’m thinking…and not only that, but I also don’t think I’d even want to be in CAS.

I think you just answered you own question about what to do. If you don’t want to be in CAS then don’t apply there. If you really want Wharton go ahead and apply. Don’t apply to any school you really don’t want to go to.
