i have an imp. q... in order to get into med school does one have to do pre-med in undergrad. I mean cant u major in some other feild, say int. relations for example yet also do all of the med school requirments spread throughout the 4 years of undergrad, take the mcats and hopefully get into med school? or is it nessecary to take the pre-med route? also, would it be to big of a problem if i never took chemestry in high school, i know that would have been helpful yet i never took it, although i do take IBH Biology.

Please check other threads. Pre-med is NOT A MAJOR. It is only a group of courses you take. O Chem, Chem, Bio, and Physics. In some cases Calculus and English and thats pre-med. You cant major in anything you want as long as you fulfill your courses. Pre-med just gives you advisers and thats it.

TYPO:
"You CAN major in anything you want as long as you fulfill your courses."
