Is putting down all five extracurriculars a bad thing?

<p>I know that it’s a bad idea to put down a laundry list of extracurriculars on your college apps but does this apply to the UC application? Since there’s only five spaces, I don’t see why it would be a problem to put down my five principal extracurriculars where I was heavily involved in. I can see why it would be a problem in the common app since there’s ten spaces and putting down ten clubs can be a problem but really, is five extracurriculars listed gonna be a problem?</p>

<p>Oh and one more thing. How many leadership positions is good for the UC app? Is four too much? Is three good?</p>

<p>If you’re heavily involved in the ECs, I don’t see why you shouldn’t fill all the spaces.</p>

<p>I don’t know what the norm is, but I had two VP positions and got into Davis and San Diego.</p>

<p>No, putting down 5 is not going to hurt you. 2 leadership positions would be enough, especially because UC’s care more about grades anyways.</p>
