ok ok i know i should be thinking about other things like studying, but just the way collegeboard describes itself makes me curious. is collegeboard really nonprofit? and if so wat do they do with all that money from ap and sat tests?

Yes, they are. They use the money for research and new tests. There's a really negative bias against CollegeBoard on these forums though.

They spend it on proctors and on developing new tests and on grading tests and on cookies and on developing new questions for older tests and on making some crappy 8th grade test and on advertising and on their website and on a bunch of other crap.

I bet the people at the top get nice benefits, while they can still claim it's not profit as long as the money goes into lots of peoples salaries rather than one owner

^ obviously they don't spend it on the SAT itself cause if you can mark in all the bubbles..

Yep, they're very very inefficient at spending it though. They're spending the money on the development of a 8th grade PSAT, and they've probably just started on a new PSAT for 6th graders.

They are also creating an SAT for senior citizens to test for senility.

Has anyone here called the College Board and spoken to a customer service representative? That's something the College Board should spend more money in.
