So, my EFC is really high and as a result I do not qualify for aid at all. Smith is my dream school, but I'm very apprehensive about paying so much for an undergrad degree. Is it really worth while?

That really depends on what you can afford and what your other options are. If you can afford it without a lot of debt and it’s an excellent match for you, then yes.

Instead of thinking of it as a dream school, I suggest comparing it to your lower cost options and see if its advantages are worth the cost differential to you and your family. Is it your dream school because of a vague feeling you’ve had since you were 10 years old, or can you draw up a long list of specific reasons why it’s the best place for your education?
