Is Southern Methodist University admissions rolling, or do they offer ED?

SMU has a non-binding Early Action program, and the application is due November 1st, and you will be notified by December 31st. According to CollegeBoard, the "priority deadline" is Jan. 15 and the "regular deadline" is March 15. As far as I am aware they don't offer ED, but EA is better anyway in my opinion.

I live about 5 minutes away from SMU, so let me know if you have any questions about the school (my parents both went there and I did summer programs there twice), Dallas, or anything else you might want to know. Be aware just how preppy, white, rich, and frat-oriented this school is before you come here; SMU has wonderful academic offerings and is well-respected in the Dallas community, but they do have a snobbish reputation and "we're better than you" attitude that many citizens frown upon.

applied SMU :)

where do students go when they leave campus?

Do you mean for fun? I would go so far as to say that SMU is in THE nicest part of Dallas, and that really is saying alot. It is on the border of Highland Park and Dallas - Highland Park is the richest city in Texas, and they are a little hole in the middle of Dallas that branched off to form their own city because well they have $$$. Lots of students go to the restaurants and shopping areas within a 5 mins drive from campus, like the West Village, Mockingbird Station, and NorthPark Center; some popular restaurants are Blue Goose, Snuffer's (an institution!), Snookie's, and Cafe Brazil. Many clubs are in Deep Ellum, along with tons of live music, and that area is also popular w/ SMU kids. YOU NEED A CAR AT SMU TO BE HAPPY.
